Hello 1st & 2nd grade parents and players,

We are getting ready for season to get started here and wanted to give you some information about the next couple of weeks!

Jody Francis will be the head coach for this grade - your daughters will love her!  She will be assisted by high school players.  We need your help too...  We would love some parent volunteers to help coach - please let us know if you are available.

1) The first event is Opening Day on Saturday 9/7 from 2:30-4:30pm.  Opening Day is an event we do every year that includes players from grades 1-8.  The 1/2nd graders will meet with their coaches in their own area of the field.  They will play some "get to know you" type games, be partnered with high school players and play some fun field hockey games.  At the end of opening day we have refreshments.  Parents are welcome to stay and socialize and watch.

2) Does your daughter need a stick?  We have free sticks for new players.  Please reply to this email so we know how many sticks to bring to opening day.

3) Required safety equipment for every practice are goggles, mouthguard and shinguards

4) Our first official practice will be Saturday 9/14 from 9:30am to 10:30am on the Stadium Turf.  Please note that we shifted the start time by 15 minutes to avoid conflicts with WSA soccer games.

Please let us know if you have any questions at all!
